What do I need to do to get started?

2) Click on the “homework” button on your left and complete all the paperwork.

3) Prior to your consultation scan your new patient paperwork and email(neal@dunamisfitness.com) me the results or you can fax them to 949-215-7201. Once I receive you’re the results we can start your program.

There are 3 ways we can meet for a consultation
•You can come to my office in Mission Viejo.

•I can make a personal house call for your convenience.

•We can have a phone consultation/webinar using webex. This feature allows you to stay in the comfort of your home and share my desktop(me from my office computer, and you from your computer at home) to go over lab tests, nutritional recommendations, lifestyle changes, power point presentations and much more. All you need is a personal computer and phone.

My experience shows that with an individualized food plan, a scientifically based supplement program, stress reduction and exercise, a person’s health can improve dramatically, not only physically, but emotionally. With an ongoing wellness plan many health problems can be avoided, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity and female hormone imbalances.

The three basic body systems
I base my health programs on a comprehensive evaluation and lab tests which assess the function of three basic body sysems: hormonal, digestive, and detoxification.

These three body systems all interact with one another. For example, if you eat a food you are reactive to it will cause inflammation in the GI tract which impacts normal digestion and absorption of nutrients. The inflammation generates a hormonal response and as the anti-inflammatory hormone cortisol rises, immune function lowers and your sex hormone levels drop. All this can happen simply because you had a pancake breakfast and a large glass of orange juice

Program Design
Once I receive your new patient paperwork and review your lab results, I will design a custom supplement/herbal protocol along with diet, functional exercise, and lifestyle changes to help address the underlying causes of your symptoms. After 3-6 months, re-testing will be done to see progress made.

Please keep in mind this is an active program. If you are not willing to do the work necessary to help yourself to wellness, this is not the program for you! If, however, you are interested in taking responsibility for your health and want to live a happier, more fulfilling, healthier life or are interested in aging more gracefully and are willing to do the work necessary, a Personalized Wellness Program is exactly what you need.

The tools I use to create your wellness plan

1) Evaluation:
Top 3 complaints, when they began, what you were doing in your life at that time.

Health appraisal questionnaire(gastrointestinal, liver, endocrine, mood, immune, cardiovascular etc.)

Medical health history form(so I can get a comprehensive overview of your health history).

Diet, exercise, and sleep diary(you keep a 3 day record of what you eat, drink, how you sleep and what exercise you are doing).

Adrenal stress profile questionnaire(to help identify your personal stress levels).

Lab tests(I will recommend testing for the hormonal system, digestive system, and the detoxification system).

2) Nutrition changes: I will guide you through what foods to eat and what foods you need to avoid, and when and how much to eat in order to maximize the efficiency of your unique biochemistry. Food intolerance testing is also available.

3) Lab based supplement programs: What exact nutrients you are deficient in and what supplements will have a therapeutic benefit for you to promote your transition to a healthier body. Lab results for all body systems matched with your clinical presentation of symptoms enable me to discern what supplements will be supportive in this process.

4) Exercise, lifestyle and stress management advice: I can direct you in establishing an appropriate exercise program drawing on strength training, stretching and cardiovascular exercise and may suggest lifestyle modifications such as changes to your sleep patterns, water intake or daily work schedule. Examples of stress management vary widely. Some people need more time with family, more sleep, more connection to their spiritual life. The chronic stressors we all experience are often a major source of our health complaints and need to be addressed as part of a comprehensive plan to restore health.

Each session will last from 1-1.5 hours depending on your goals. It is mandatory I see my clients at least 3 times. A typical client needs between 3-5 sessions to implement the full Dunamis Method program.
