Hello everyone! I know I am a bit weird, but one of my favorite subjects is POOP. In my early 20′s I want through some serious gastrointestinal distress that really changed my life. Now many years later as a health practitioner, one of my main goals it to make sure that each client learns how to heal and restore their gut so they can have daily, pleasurable bowel movements and be able to absorb and assimilate their foods. Remember that the “entire colin is connected to, touches, sits next to or is in the vicinity of every major organ in the human body except the brain.” That means that anything around the colon can be crushed, squeezed, or compressed causing all kinds of health issues. I read many different blogs each day and a couple weeks ago Paul Chek had an awesome post on poop called “Lessons From The Toilet.” I encourage you all to click on the link below and read his post. If you need help in healing your gut you know where to find me.

Click on the picture below to learn what happens to your body when you have chronic negative emotions. I found this picture on a friend’s facebook page. As a health practitioner, mental and emotional health is very important to me. I like to get to the root cause of the issue so you can get it fixed. I have 2 amazing friends who are counselors who use many tools to help with mental/emotional issues. I have sent clients and friends to them many times and amazing healing happened each time. There is a way out.

I have a handout called “avoiding deadly emotions” that I give to my clients and one of the quotes that I found was “the efficiency of your immune system decreases noticeably for six hours and alter the chemistry of your body. What you are eating is not nearly as important as what’s eating you.” I forgot to write down the source of that quote but we all know how we feel when we have “stinkin thinkin.” A good health and nutrition program covers “all” areas of health so you can build robust health and vitality.

Again, if you are ready to help yourself I am ready to work with you.

Good evening everyone! I have had another great day of teaching my physical education students how to run the bases properly in baseball, and we covered a couple health and nutrition topics such as the ice cream Haagen Dazs 5 and how you don’t get healthy by losing weight, you get healthy then you lose the weight. I believe that quote is from Diana Schwarzbein, but it’s so true.

With that said, ARE YOU SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED? I want to offer a special 2 for 1 offer ending next Thursday, April 26. If you can find 1 friend who would like to do my program the Dunamis Method with you, you can split the cost of the program and only pay $250.00 each. The program is 3, 1 hour sessions that will get you dialed in on nutrition for your unique needs, proper hydration, sleep tips, exercise plan, and how to reduce stress. So that would be 2 people for the price of 1. Having a friend by your side as you go through the program will really help as you can support and encourage each other as time goes on.

I have worked with clients all over the U.S. through webex and phone consultations. To learn more about my program click on the Dunamis Method button. Make sure to read the top of my home page. “Are Any Of These Troubling You?” If that is you and you are willing to help yourself give me a call or shoot me an email and I can answer any questions you may have. We work together as a team to reach the health goals that you have.

I look forward to working with you.

Good morning Dunamis world. I am prepping for a client right now and to keep my brain fueled as I study, I just ate a nice bowl of lamb with bone broth, salt, squash, and watermelon. That way I flood my cells with good proteins, fats, carbs, and sugars. 2 of the issues my client is dealing with is high cholesterol and not eating enough calories. The funny thing is most people think they are eating enough calories or to many calories, but I have come to realize is, most people do not eat enough calories for their unique biochemical needs. For your metabolism to heal you need to give it the energy it needs to function properly. That is why logging what you eat each day and taking your body temperature is so important. I have an awesome tool I give my clients to be able to keep track of their calories, fats, proteins, carbs, and body temps.

As for the high cholesterol, I have my clients fill out extensive “homework” so I can see what is happening in their bodies now and what happened in the past. Food logs also give me a glimpse into what might be causing their high cholesterol. I then teach them the “root cause” of their high cholesterol and then we begin to make changes to their food plan and everyday life and see if we can bring the numbers back down to normal. The goal is to be drug free and to use food as your supplement.

I am ready to work with you if you are willing to help yourself. Think about it. Have an awesome day.

I was just reading over some of my notes on carbohydrates and I came across this quote from Ray Peat below. Remember that sugar is not your enemy if you get them from the right sources, at the right times, and in the right ratios for YOU! In my program the Dunamis Method, I teach my clients how to use sugar to help in the healing process of their metabolism. When I say sugar, I am talking about honey, dairy products, fruit, and table sugar. Give me a call or shoot me an email if you are ready to start my program today. LET’S DO THIS!

Neal

Ray Peat PhD: “The experiments of Bernardo Houssay (1947 Nobel laureate) in the 1940s, in which sugar and coconut oil protected against diabetes, followed by Randle’s demonstration of the antagonism between fats and glucose assimilation, and the growing recognition that polyunsaturated fatty acids cause insulin resistance and damage the pancreas, have made it clear that the dietetic obsession with sugar in relation to diabetes has been a dangerous diversion that has retarded the understanding of degenerative metabolic diseases.”

Good Saturday to you all. I hope you read my post on “tai-chi” on March 13? My physical education students tried tai-chi for the first time this week and really enjoyed the way it made them feel. Many of them felt at peace, calm, rested, and were able to slow their mind down and be in the moment. Over the last couple weeks I have been doing a short 10 minute tai-chi session before work and noticed how calm my mind became and how my attitude was much more positive throughout the day. I like to pray or meditate on God’s word as I do each tai-chi movement. Give it a try. Go to youtube and search tai-chi and see if you can find a video you can follow.

I was speaking with a friend the other day who had just been to the doctor. The doctor said his cholesterol levels were over 400 and wanted to put him on medication. But medication does not address the ROOT CAUSE of his high cholesterol issue. You need to figure out WHY your body is producing so much cholesterol and then fix that issue. Who wants to take a medication that has side effects for the rest of their life? Not me!

Did you know that your body makes 80% of the cholesterol circulating in your blood stream and the other 20% comes from the foods you eat? Did you know that cholesterol is an anti-oxidant? Did you know your body uses cholesterol to counteract stress? Did you know cholesterol manufactures your sex hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, dhea cortisol, pregnenolone, and testosterone? Did you know that bile which helps to emulsify fats that you eat is created by cholesterol? Cholesterol is a key constituent in rebuilding cell walls and helps rebuild damaged tissues, and on and on and on. You need cholesterol when the body is under stress. Stressors such as over exercise, toxins from the environment, eating a C.R.A.P. diet, and pesticides can increase cholesterol levels.

So, you might be thinking if cholesterol is that important then what is really causing heart disease? Eating junky, highly processed, manufactured foods especially foods that have seed oils(PUFAS) such as cottonseed oil, soybean oli, safflower oil, canola oil, pollution from the air we breathe, economic and social stress, smoking cigarettes, and hypothyroidism. Why don’t we fix those issues and see if your cholesterol levels start to normalize? Why don’t we address what is causing the inflammation in our bodies and see if our cholesterol starts to lower?

What it is people? It’s a chilly, rainy day out here in Orange County Ca. Below is a quick rant I gave my physical education students this week. I thought you might learn something as well. If you would like to learn what foods are good for your unique biochemical needs, then call or email anytime. What are you waiting for? I would love to work with you. One of my clients I have been working with has lost 5 pounds the last couple weeks and the best part is her bowel movements are starting to become regular and she was surprised how much fecal matter was coming out. Just think how your body will feel when all of that poop wich as been stuck in your bowels all of this time starts to come out. One possible benefit could be the little pooch you have in your lower abdominal area could go away and your back pain could lower or go away. Constipation can cause many issues that you don’t even realize.

Enjoy your day.

Neal

Students I need to rant for a minute. I have been talking to many students who are not feeling that well(farty, gassy, bloatey, constipation, diarrhea) because of what they eat on a daily basis. When I ask them to write down what they ate for 3 days guess what I see? PACKAGED, PROCESSED, ADDITIVES, PRESERVATIVES, FOOD COLORINGS, and tons of other words I can’t even pronounce. These foods have tons of chemicals in them that are very low in nutrition and can cause the issues you are having. For example, sometimes it’s not the milk that is making you feel like crap, it’s WHAT THEY PUT IN THE MILK that is making you feel like crap. You might have a food sensitivity to a certain food because of what they add to that food, not the food itself. Look at the food label on what you are eating right now. If you see a paragraph of ingredients I personally would not eat it. Foods should have very few ingredients in them in my opinion. Yes you can have those foods on occasion, JUST NOT EVERY DAY, ALL DAY.

So I encourage you to eat more fresh cooked foods of all kinds and to stay away from foods that have a million ingredients in them and see how you feel. Watch what starts to happen. You will start to poop better, sleep better, think clearly, have less anxiety, skin will look better, and you will have more energy. I challenge you to try it. We have already talked about Dr. Diet in my class a million times. Go back and re-watch some of the videos to re-fresh your mind.
