I had a nice, restful evening last night and was able to get 9 hours of sleep to kickoff my weekend. Today’s activities have included cleaning, cooking, laundry, and once all that was done I went out for a quick 45 minute bike ride. For some reason, my bike was calling out to me to be ridden and it felt good to be out in the sun and working up a nice sweat. To fuel my needs today I have eaten oysters, butter, gelatin, beef, eggs, coconut oil, white potatoes, watermelon, salt, orange juice, raw honey, and Strauss Farms ice cream.

If you are ready to help yourself let me know. I am ready when you are. Have a relaxing evening.

Good evening everyone! I have had another great day of teaching my physical education students how to run the bases properly in baseball, and we covered a couple health and nutrition topics such as the ice cream Haagen Dazs 5 and how you don’t get healthy by losing weight, you get healthy then you lose the weight. I believe that quote is from Diana Schwarzbein, but it’s so true.

With that said, ARE YOU SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED? I want to offer a special 2 for 1 offer ending next Thursday, April 26. If you can find 1 friend who would like to do my program the Dunamis Method with you, you can split the cost of the program and only pay $250.00 each. The program is 3, 1 hour sessions that will get you dialed in on nutrition for your unique needs, proper hydration, sleep tips, exercise plan, and how to reduce stress. So that would be 2 people for the price of 1. Having a friend by your side as you go through the program will really help as you can support and encourage each other as time goes on.

I have worked with clients all over the U.S. through webex and phone consultations. To learn more about my program click on the Dunamis Method button. Make sure to read the top of my home page. “Are Any Of These Troubling You?” If that is you and you are willing to help yourself give me a call or shoot me an email and I can answer any questions you may have. We work together as a team to reach the health goals that you have.

I look forward to working with you.

Good Saturday to you all. I hope you read my post on “tai-chi” on March 13? My physical education students tried tai-chi for the first time this week and really enjoyed the way it made them feel. Many of them felt at peace, calm, rested, and were able to slow their mind down and be in the moment. Over the last couple weeks I have been doing a short 10 minute tai-chi session before work and noticed how calm my mind became and how my attitude was much more positive throughout the day. I like to pray or meditate on God’s word as I do each tai-chi movement. Give it a try. Go to youtube and search tai-chi and see if you can find a video you can follow.

Checkout the video on “What Are Liver Spots” from my friend Josh Rubin. Have an awesome day. I am out the door to Huntington Beach for a nice bike ride then lunch.

Hello everyone. I have been fighting off a sore throat and mild cough the last couple days so this morning I am going to turn to Tai Chi to cultivate more energy then I expend and help me heal faster. I work in a city with a large Asian population and for years I would drive through the neighborhoods and see many residents out on the street corner or in the local park doing these slow, graceful movements that really peaked my interest. Remember in prior posts I mentioned how I like to “work-in” a couple times a week. Depending on your health issues, “working-out” can make things worse for your unique health needs. When I am working with a client, many times they don’t even start a fitness program until many weeks down the line. It is very important to get all the nutrition and lifestyle changes dialed in first before we start to exercise.

I have 2 Tai Chi videos I like to watch and my favorite times to practice are first thing in the morning to set the tone for the day or when I get home from work to calm me down after a long day with crazy middle school students and clients.

Some of the health benefits are lower high blood pressure, boost immune system, improve balance and coordination, reduce anxiety and depression, and reduce ADHD symptoms. I also like to pray as I do each movement. Enjoy your day.

Good day to you all. Another 80 degree day in Southern California. I spent the whole day teaching my students how to throw a frisbee and my back is letting me know I over did it. Last night I did a little reptilian crawling along with a couple sets of static lunging and lateral lunging. I finished off my session with a 3 sets of bosuball crunches(flexion and extension). I have also been taking my rode bike out and my body is telling me it’s time to take a break.

Tonight I will turn to my working-in program and do some light yoga/stretching along with breathing exercises to culitvate energy and help with the repair process. I know when I wake up in the morning my body will feel much better. To keep my cell’s fueled today I have eaten pastured eggs, coconut oil, watermelon, white fish, beef, ricotta cheese, Haagen Dazs 5 vanilla ice cream, and kiwi. Tonight I will have a little more beef, gelatin, sweet potato and watermelon.

Have a restful evening.

Good morning guys. Another beautiful, sunny, 75 degree day in Southern California. Last Saturday, I talked about being a “frequent eater.” Below are the foods that I had on Thursday and the times I ate. Remember that each person needs a different amount of calories, food ratios(fats, carbs, proteins), types of foods, and frequencies. I recommend eating free range meats, pastured eggs, organic fruits/vegetables, raw dairy and goat milk.

As you can see in my food plan, I eat alot of the same foods all day long. The next day I rotate my foods so I am not eating the same foods everyday. To learn what foods are good for your unique body type give me a call or shoot me an email anytime.

Neal

P.S.-I also had a nice extended yoga/stretching session before bed and when you add in the raw goat milk with raw, unheated honey I slept like a baby.

Wake up: 6:00am
Breakfast: 6:30am-eggs/coconut oil/OJ
Snack: 9:30am-ricotta cheese/blue berries/raspberries
Lunch: 12:15pm-lamb/sweet potato/dates
Snack: 3:15pm-ricotta cheese/blue berries/raspberries
Dinner: 6:00pm-lamb/sweet potato/dates
Snack: 9:15pm-goat milk/raw honey
Bedtime: 10pm

In my last post I talked about my goal of staying functional and pain free as possible as I age. It is very important to me to be able to play many sports at a high level. With that said when I met JP Sears, he told me that before we start working together I need to see a “Blair Specific Chiroptractor.” I am assuming you like me said what the heck is that? To learn more about Blair Specific Chiropractic click here and if you are in the Southern California area click here. Watch the video below that I posted about a year ago to see how Blair changed my life for the better.

Note-in the video I say I am leaking “spinal fluid” out of my disc. What I meant to say was my disc is drying out. If I was leaking spinal fluid that would be a big problem.

When I took my first CHEK HLC class 7 years ago I was able to watch Paul Chek workout live, and it was quite impressive and unlike anything I had seen before. I am 38 years old with a small scoliosis and have disc desiccation in my L4-L5, L5-S1 area from playing sports and lifting improperly way back in the day, and now it’s very important to me to stay as functional and pain free as possible as I age. Paul is 50 and in incredible shape and it’s possible for you as well no matter how sedentary you are.

I was told by my doctor when I was 25 that I should not surf anymore or strength train because of my back issues. I listened for about 6 months then my mind and body was telling me that was not right. All these years later I am very strong in all the primal pattern movements and have learned how to keep my body in good working condition. You would think that with my back issues I would be getting worse but I still surf, weight train, play tennis, jog and engage in many other activities at a high level.

If my post is speaking to you I encourage you to contact JP Sears or Josh Rubin as they can get you dialed in with a fitness program that is specific to your unique needs. JP Sears has been training me for years now and without his teaching and knowledge I would be in a world of hurt by now. If you need help with nutrition, stress, sleep issues, mental/emotional issues, and lab testing contact me anytime I would love to speak with you.

Enjoy the video below.
