Alcohol Can Lead To Leaky Gut

Did you know that alcohol can cause damage to the stomach and lining of the small intestine and can cause “leaky gut syndrome”. Leaky gut syndrome results in the separation of tight junctions between the cells of the gut wall. Undigested or partially digested food particles may cross the gut wall, activating the immune system. This creates an inflammatory response.
