Just got done with a 15 minute “working-in” full body session. After teaching physical education all day and having to deal with crazy middle schoolers, I needed to de-stress and unwind a bit. If you are reading this right now most likely you are a bit stressed as well. It could be nutritional stress, work, exercise, mental/emotional stress, or finanacial stress. If that is you I encourage you to incorporate some “work-in” activities. The main effect of the exercises in a work-in routine is that they cultivate more energy than they
expend, leaving enough energy to stimulate and fortify your healing processes (Paul Chek). To Keep things simple “working-out” can take alot out of you especially in a stressed state and make things worse inside and outside of your body.
With that said try things such as slow walking, breathing exercises, light stretching, yoga, praying, meditating, or tai chi. I recommend you buy the book “How To Eat, Move and Be Healthy” by Paul Chek and do the zone exercises he recommends. For me I have some low back issues from lifting weights and from sports injuries and working-in has helped me with my light pain and kept me functional and overall feeling good. My inflammation has definately gone down. Watch your energy improve, digestion get better, sleep deepen, and your mental functions improve.
Good evening to you all. Since we are all so close and many of you are return Dunamis visitors I wanted to tell you I had 2 nice and pleasurable bowel movements today. I have been a bit constipated recently and was trying to figure out why but now with some fine tuning in my health plan things are back to normal. How is your bowels working right now? That is the beauty of the Dunamis Method. I work with you side by side to find the causes of your health issue and help YOU heal the issues.
Earlier today, my body was calling for a nice full body workout so I knocked out a couple sets of dumbbell bicep curls along with reptilian crawling going forward and backward. I finished off my workout with 2 sets of lower abdominal work. I try and work a different part of my inner and outer core each time I work-in or work-out. I make sure to cover all of the primal pattern movements each week so I can stay strong and functional in all the activities I do in my everyday life.
So my last couple posts have been about how to balance blood sugar so I thought today I would share what was on my menu. Remember it’s all about the right foods, ratios, and frequencies needed for YOUR unique needs. Every person is different and every person has to go through a bit of trial and error to fine tune their food plan. Below is what I ate today and I just got done eating some delicious bone broth, eggs, salt, and tasty marshmellows.
Today’s Menu:
Eggs, coconut oil, raw carrot, melon, orange juice, gelatin, marshmellow, bone broth, raw cheese, ricotta cheese, and salt.

Good morning Dunamis people. I hope you all are having a restful Sunday. Last week I briefly talked about blood sugar and today I want to talk about what happens when you have chronic low blood sugar which then turns to high stress hormone levels.
As a quick review low blood sugar = cells starving, then you body freaks out and calls for adrenaline(stress hormone), then stored fats are released for energy(fat is a back up fuel, sugar is the primary fuel and what the body wants most), then if stress hormones continue to stay high, the body starts to eat itself for fuel burning your tissue such as muscles and organs to get the energy it needs. So then what happens? Your body starts to rebel and low blood sugar and high adrenalin can lead to mental and physical symptoms.
Some of the physical symptoms are headaches, fatigue, abnormal weight(high or low), trembling, blurred vision, joing pain, sugar cravings, and tinnitus which is ringing in the ear. Mental symptoms include anxiety, restlessness, irritability, depression, can’t concentrate, nightmares, and obsessive compulsive behavior.
So how do I balance my blood sugar? One of the key’s is to eat frequetly throughout the day and to eat the right type of foods with the right ratios for your unique body chemistry. Each person needs a different amount of calories from fats, proteins, and carbs. Make sure to eat carbs, fats, and proteins together at each meal as they work together to help balance blood sugar. Eating a fat, carb, or protein alone depending on the food will raise or lower blood sugar and create the issues I mentioned earlier. The goal is to stop the roller coaster of high blood sugar, low blood sugar, then high blood sugar, then low blood sugar. You know how you feel when that happens.
So how do I know what foods, macronutrient ratios, and calories are good for me? Give me a call and sign up for my Dunamis Nutrition Plan. When I started my health journey I read a ton of books and tried a ton of nutrition programs but I didn’t find exactly what I needed until I worked with a health practitioner who could guide me and answer any questions I had. LET’S DO THIS!
For this week only (1/9/12-1/15/12) the first 5 people to call or email will recieve 50% off the Dunamis Method program. That is a savings of $250.00. I have been working on master’s degree the last few months and I am now ready to see clients again. In honor of finally finishing my thesis the entire Dunamis Method will only be $250.00. Normal price is $500.00. You will get 3, 1 hour consultations, menus, recipes, snacks and much more. I am willing to work with anyone who is willing to help themselves.
Let’s take a quick look at blood sugar today. Blood sugar level or it’s really called blood glucose level, is the amount of sugar traveling through your body. The sugar wants to get into your cells and if the amount of sugar is too low from not eating or eating the wrong ratios and types of foods, then your cells are starving. When blood sugar gets to high from eating to large of a meal, then more then likely not enough sugar is getting into your cells to be used as energy and the excess sugar is being stored as fat right in your favorite places, your hips, stomach, and thighs.
So for those of you who do not eat enough calories or do not eat regularly, then you could have high adrenaline. Some of the signs of high adrenaline are binge eating, craving for sweets, insomnia, fatigue, dizziness, irritability, and headaches. Does that sound like you? So what can I do to balance my blood sugar? Click here to learn how the Dunamis Nutrition Plan can help you. More to come in my next post.

Good evening Dunamis world. Last night I finished my Master’s Degree in Health and Nutrition Education. 2 years of hard work has finally paid off. We will see where this piece of paper leads me next. Starting tonight I am starting a 2 week vacation to rest and re-charge and will not be updating the site until after the new year. If you need me you know where to find me. Have a Merry Christmas and a fun New Year’s Eve and day.
This is it people. One more weekend in the cave and my thesis project will be done. After a little editing and cleaning a few things up I will finally have my Master’s degree in health and nutrition education after 2 years. Time for me to get back to work. Enjoy the video below from my friend Josh Rubin. I just sent this video to one of my friends who is having trouble with her pregnancy and I encourage you to think of 1 person you can send this video to as well and spread the word. Have a restful day.
Still in the cave people. By tomorrow night I hope to basically be done with my master’s degree in health and nutrition education besides editing. Tonight’s topics include why are nutrient dense foods important, organic, fats, proteins, carbs, vitamins, minerals, and how to balance blood sugar. GAME TIME! Enjoy your evening. Back to the cave I go.
Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. I definatley had a food coma after eating free range turkey, organic potatoes with grass fed butter, organic green beans and a ton of ice cream. The last couple days I have been in my cave trying to put the finishing touches on my thesis so I can finally be done after 2 long years of studying and writing. The goal is to be done by the end of next weekend so keep my in your prayers.
Finishing my master’s degree will be a monumental day in my life as when I was younger I thought I was not as smart as everyone else and I became the class clown to try and cover up my insecurities. Little did I know that with a little hard work, help from others, and Jesus coming into my life changed everything. No matter what your issues or dreams are you can overcome and make them happen.
I just finished up a nice workout knocking out some alternating kettlebell military press, inverted bar pull with feet on swiss ball, double angle bicep curls, and some oblique work using a medicine ball. Back to the cave as I sip on some raw goat’s milk, gelatin, and sugar to help with recovery. Have an awesome day.
What it is? I am going to be a hermit for the next 2 weeks as it is now crunch time for me to finish my thesis and finally get my master’s degree in health and nutrition education after 2 long years of work. Eventhough I am going to be sitting in a chair for hours at a time it is still very important to fuel my body with nutrient dense foods to fuel what my brain needs. I don’t want my blood sugar to drop or get to high and throw off my focus and energy needed to research and write.
It will be important for me to fuel my body with good sugars but also eat fats, carbs, and proteins together to help stabilize my blood sugar. Right now it’s 10am and I have already had eggs, coconut oil, unpasteurized orange juice, gelatin, raw goat cheese, carrots, and pickling salt. Back to my cave. Enjoy your day.
